Hiking Galdhøpiggen in May

Hello,
I would like to know if it would be possible to hike Galdhøpiggen in May this year. I heard that currently there is less snow there than usual so is it an opportunity?

People hike Mt. Everest when it is covered in ice and snow year round, so I don't see why not Galdhøpiggen It comes down to your equipment and experience.

There was less snow earlier this winter but there was a major snowfall (1.5m in two days?) which resulted in a situation where we went from less than usual to normal very quickly.

I'm unsure of current conditions.

My basic assumption is that very few people would hike there in May and the ones who do would probably be using either skis or snowshoes for parts of the trip. It could basically be full winter up there.

It's not something I would consider doing myself but as SneakyOwl says, some hike everest in the middle of winter.
