Trekking suggestions near Trondheim

Hey,

Does anyone have any suggestions for treks for new beginners. I have some experience with treks that have well marked trails for example kungsleden, but never been out with just a compass and a map.

1) Looking for a trek preferably in the trondheim area

2) Looking for a 2-3 week trek with camping in a tent

3) Planning on going between June 20 - July 15

You could try exploring Skjækra-Blåfjella national park.

Regarding that your trip is planned in early summer I would suggest "Fjordruta" (https://fjordruta.dnt.no/om-fjordruta/), which is a beautiful trek near the Northwestern coast. You can reach it by travelling by boat to Kristiansund (3,5 hrs), and walk from there. Doing the whole trip takes about two weeks. You can either stay in cabins or in a tent. The trail is well marked, but I would also suggest carrying a map and a compass. 

Other nice areas for trekking is Trollheimen and Sylan, but this early I am afraid there can be pretty wet and also snow left.
