Khimik Skrevet 26. juli 2015 Skrevet 26. juli 2015 We will be hiking in the Folgefonna glacier area in a couple of weeks time. I am considering options for getting to Rosendal after camping by the side of Blåhatten. We will have two days. In bad weather, we will do Rusta-Volarusta-Muradalen, but in good weather, I am looking for something more challenging. We will have a 9-year old with us, but we all have experience of sharp ridges and scrambling in class 3 (Yosemite Decimal System) terrain with full backpacks. We will have a rope, harnesses etc - so we can set belays on a small number of pitches if needed. Is it possible to do Juklavasskruna-Bjørndalstindane traverse in the direction opposite to what people are normally doing? Would it still be class 3 scrambling? Will climbing down from Bjørndalstindane towards Andersfjellet cause any difficulties? As an alternative, could we get down to Myrdalsvatnet from Juklavasskruna via Juklavasstinden? Or via Hetabotnpynten? We are looking for something around class 3 scrambling but not much more challenging. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks, Victor Siter
