Polar Bear Skrevet 2. november 2014 Forfatter Skrevet 2. november 2014 Actually, I was thinking of putting a nameplate above the door. Something like: Dutch Polar Cabin, just because I mostly don't heat up my cabin during the winter. Siter
Populært innlegg Polar Bear Skrevet 8. desember 2014 Forfatter Populært innlegg Skrevet 8. desember 2014 Someone is placing T-signs in the Netherlands. Here a nice place in the middle of Holland. Perfect terrain for training with the pulk, going up and down the small hills makes you tired after some hours. I will place here an up and down video tomorrow. 12 Siter
Oddbjørn Skrevet 9. desember 2014 Skrevet 9. desember 2014 And here I thought I was crazy thinking about starting pulling tyres... Siter
Polar Bear Skrevet 9. desember 2014 Forfatter Skrevet 9. desember 2014 Training with ski’s in the sand is for me more fun then training with a tyre, I use old ski’s. Sofar Swix is not making wax for sandskiing, so I don’t use any wax. Here you can see the video: Going up and down a small sand hill on ski with a pulk. : http://youtu.be/k5ICuKdL2Uk The Going down part is fun Here you can see the video: Following T-signs, but where is the next one? : http://youtu.be/rf-hsEl-kxs 6 Siter
Dag G - Evje Skrevet 9. desember 2014 Skrevet 9. desember 2014 You are very kind to the polar bear. Giving him fresh air and a daily tour ! Siter
martin.m Skrevet 10. desember 2014 Skrevet 10. desember 2014 @Polar Bear Have you met other people while sand-skiing? If so, how do they react towards you? I'm pretty certain you don't give a damn, but it would be funny to hear how they respond. 1 Siter
Polar Bear Skrevet 10. desember 2014 Forfatter Skrevet 10. desember 2014 @ Martin: The people who are in the “Dutch Desert” like to be in the nature, these people respect what others are doing in the nature. It is not that busy with people, so there is space enough. The people who see me, mostly show a smile on their face. Some will ask: “Isn’t that heavy?” Well , going on skies (with the pulk) through the sand goes faster then walking. It looks strange, ski-walking in the sand but it is easier then walking. It is the load in the pulk which makes it harder to go, and of course going up the small hills is the ultimate training. I use sand in the pulk to make the pulk heavier. When I get to tired or when it is getting to dark, I throw out the sand then I go must faster. 2 Siter

Bamsemums Skrevet 3. mars 2015 Skrevet 3. mars 2015 If you want to go on an international expedition you can always cross the border to Belgium at Kalmthoutse Heide. I did some walking there when I was living in the area years ago. I believe we reached more than 10 meters above (!) sea level at the most extreme. 3 Siter
