MjrKrash Skrevet 10. januar 2009 Skrevet 10. januar 2009 Hello from the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. I am returning to Sweden this February to ski trek the Kungsleden. I will be going South from Hemavan to Abisko. I was there two years ago and did the same trip (http://www.i907.net) Last time I figured I could just buy a pulk or rent one from a shop in Hemavan. As it turns out, it was a sports week and everything was either sold or rented, and I ended up making one in a few hours from a child sled, some plastic conduit, rope and duct tape. This time I'd like to buy a traditional - commercial pulk. The Art 202 X-Country 130 Turpulk from Fjellpulken is the sled I would like with poles and harness. (if you have alternate recommendation I'm open. Also if someone has a used sled for sale, I'm open to that as well.) I'd like to find a shop in Stockholm that I can call this week, and place the order for the complete sled, then pick it up when I get there. I can buy it online from Fjellpulken but would have to have it mailed to the hotel in Stockholm. I'd prefer to pick it up at a local shop in Stockholm. I arrive in Stockholm, 25th, February and fly to Hemavan the 27th February. Any assistance on local gear shops or reliable retailer would be greatly appreciated. .. Also if anyone is going to be on the trail around that time, please let me know or feel free to be invited! Thanks Dan Young www.i907.net Dutch Harbor, Alaska Home of the Deadliest Catch & Alaska King Crab Hello there, Naturkompaniet as mentioned above and http://addnature.com/product.asp?dept_id=0&pf_id=FJELLPULKENVETERANVP are the first stores that springs to mind. Probably you should mail the stores to know if they can stock it until you get to Stockholm. Also the harness and lines don't seem to be included so you should ask them about that as well! Here is the page for addnatures store info: http://addnature.com/about.asp If I can help you with translations don't hesitate to use this thread. There is also a swedish message forum: http://www.utsidan.se/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=35 where you can ask the hopefully friendly skigoers. Good luck and have a fantastic trip! Siter
